A Capital Campaign
The Penn Central Conference is in the midst of a Capital Campaign to raise $4.2 million 4 Our Churches. The funds will be used for four distinct purposes: A Mission Tithe to Rebuild Beecher Memorial; for New and Revitalized Churches; to build a Multi-Purpose Building at Hartman Center and for the 4 Our Future Endowment Fund.
We are now in the Commitment Phase of the Campaign. Presenters are presently making arrangments to visit all of our churches to tell the story of what the 4 Our Churches Campaign promises to do for, and with, our congregations. If a Presenter has not yet called your church, contact Sandra Shipman, Presenters Chairperson @ jsshippa@cs.com and she will make sure that a presenter calls.
This year, every church will be encouraged to appoint a Church Representative who will coordinate the Campaign at your church. In addition, churches will be asked to select a goal amount that they will raise between 2008 and 2012.
The Rev. Amy J. Schultz is the Campaign Coordinator and is available to assist your church on behalf of the Campaign. Contact her by email @ aschultz@pccucc.org or by calling the Conference Office at 717-652-1560, ext. 15.
