Boundary Training

Requirement: All authorized ministers (ordained, licensed, commissioned) in the Penn Central Conference are required to take 6 credits of Boundary Awareness Training every 3 years.

There are two ways in which this requirement can be met:

  1. The Basic Boundary Awareness Course will be offered every year on Friday morning and afternoon at the Conference Annual Meeting. All authorized ministers must take this basic course once. Cost and registration will be provided as part of the Annual Meeting information.
  2. For those who have completed the Basic Course, there is a variety of Advancing Healthy Ministries Bites. These 2-hour sessions will focus on topics of interest and relevance to 21st century ministry and 2-4 will be offered yearly so that you can accrue the needed 6 hours every three years.

After a Course is completed, the authorized minister will receive a certificate. The conference will send a list of participating clergy to each Committee on Ministry each year for tracking.

Any request for exemption from meeting this requirement must be made in writing to the appropriate Association Committee on Ministry/Church and Ministry Committee.
